Hair cut + Hot Brooklyn Deals +New Nollywood Titles

by: oroma
Yesteday, I decided to put my feelings out on my facebook status. It was blunt and I meant every word of. As we usually say when we true talk here at my studio- People are full of shit so I went Kanye on them. Needless to say, people reacted. Long story short,
I deleted everyone on my friend list and deactivated my face book account. It’s seriously not worth it. I think I am way too accessible besides facebook is so unproductive. People don't even call or text anymore. How crazy is it that someone who knows your number, who can call to say hello doesn't but does it on your wall? I don't want to sound so anti so I’m going to stop. Point is I’m off of it and it feels great.
Maybe, because I am off it, I was actually able to put that time to other things other than work like treasure hunting. Today, for example, I visited my old neighborhood in Brooklyn; cut a hair - no regrets- my hair was damaged. I do intended to wig it out whenever necessary but this is what it looks like underneath it all. I may even try to keep it natural all the way this. (
Don’t hold me to this; I know how random I can be)I visited the Nollywood film store to check out a few new titles not yet out on YouTube or other websites- my god, do they come out with a new film everyday? I can't keep up but heavens knows as much as I hate the poor sound quality, drawn out scenes where a cell phone gets its 5 minutes of fame time and the wardrobe, the hair lord! I still can't help but watch them. So kudus to Nollywood for keeping it locked down. Genineve Nnaji always delivers so I focused on her new titles. She rarely does a horrible film; in fact she is one of the 3 best actresses in Nollywood. Yes there are only 3. So I bought myself some- for 4bucks. Oh yeah 1 dollar a film. Hot deal and seriously I don't think I should pay more for it. (I know I know, support actors and filmmakers, but these people are balling, they don't need my dollar, they need to be helping me shhhhh). i also got 2 new cool shades... the round one will look so good on fashion story i'm planning to shoot. Today was a good day.
That’s all folks.

1. love the haircut - chopping my hair off is one of my favourite pasttimes, to my mother's chagrin.

2. feel you on the fb bit. I recently said the same thing - people don't call anymore! (I don't even count texts, I've gone anti-tech when it comes to communication). Your choice of word, 'unproductive', truly describes it. I knew it was the beginning of the end when I deleted my farm...lol.

3. Got directed here from 'she's so fly' - have a great weekend!
